Steve Plater first rode on two-wheels back in 1979 aboard a BSA Bantam 175 field bike. Since then he’s become one of the UK’s most versatile motorcycle racers ever. He’s won races in all the classes he’s ridden in, including Superbike, Supersport, Superstock, World Endurance and many one-make series as well as ‘pure’ road events such as Macau, the North West 200 and the Isle of Man TT races. Steve started out as a bricklayer and did stints as a speedway demonstration rider, as well as racing stock cars for three years, before taking up two-wheel racing full-time in 1994.
