Josh has a wealth of both national and international racing experience behind him. He first came to many people’s attention with a stunning win at his home World Supersport round in 2004 at Phillip Island, but the Australian had already been running at the front of many domestic Australian championships before that, although a number of his racing seasons were blighted through injury.

Career History

2009 Secured 4th place in the British Superbike championship and ten podiums, despite missing three rounds due to injury
2008 3rd in the World Supersport Championship with HANNspree Stiggy Honda, including a win at Donington Park. In a one-off ride for HM Plant Honda, Brookes took pole in the final British Supersport championship round at Brands Hatch and came home 3rd in the race
2007 Did the first 7 rounds of the World Superbike Championship before switching back to World Supersport Championship with Stiggy Motorsport for the final 5 rounds
2006 Best result of 6th in World Supersport Championship. Switched to World Superbike Championship during the season, showing some promise on the bigger bike

2004 1st Australian World Supersport race, Phillip Island
Also won both opening Australian Supersport and Superbike races and was winning both championships after three rounds, but broke his pelvis in a race incident and came back to win the final race of the year
