HM Plant

HM Plant has had a long and fruitful relationship with Honda Racing in the UK, extending beyond the British Superbike Championship and into the British Motocross series, as well as the Honda Formula four-stroke Offshore Powerboat Championship. The company was originally founded in 1979 as a sub-dealer to distribute Hitachi’s range of hydraulic excavators. HM Plant became its official UK importer just a year later. In 1983 HM Plant and Hitachi became the UK’s market leader for mid-range excavators – an accolade that the firm has held for 22 of the past 24 years.
